The National Women’s Council of Ireland & Breffni Belles Cavan Women’s Network hosted an event today in the Cavan Crystal Hotel,Dublin Road, Cavan The Local and European elections are a great opportunity to promote established and emerging women candidates. It was a great opportunity to bring women and candidates together to discuss issues including:
• women in decision making,
• violence against women, • economic equality,
• health & reproductive rights,
• public services and building more equal and inclusive communities.

The women of the Breffni Belles Cavan Women's Network held an evening to celebrate International Women's Day and they also launched their book "Dear Me .... A book of reflections" on Friday evening at the Hotel Kilmore, neither would have been possible without the hard work of the committee who are front from left Ann McKiernan, Veronica Williams, Chair; Marion Lyon, Secretary and PR, back from left Doris Allison, Teresa Walsh, Ann Marie Johnston, Marie Lynch and Celia Wyckham.
